Points lacrymaux, are two small, round, and contractile openings, situate in the centre of a tubercle or papilla, Papilla lacrymalis, Tuberculum lacrymale, about a line and a half distant from the inner commissure of the eyelids, and continuous with the lachrymal ducts. These ducts, Lacrymales Canaliculi, Canales seu Ductus lacrymales, Ductus lacrymales laterales seu punctorum lacrymalium, Cornua lacrymalia seu limacum, Colliciae punctorum lacrymalium, Canaliculi limacum, (F.) Conduits lacrymaux, are two in number-a superior and an inferior -which extend from the puncta to the lachrymal sac. They seem formed by a very delicate prolongation of the conjunctiva, which is continuous with the mucous membrane of the lachrymal sac, (F.) Reservoir des larmes: -the Saccus seu Sinus seu Lacus lacrymalis, Dacryocystis, Infundibulum lacrymale.
