An Elizabethan dramatist, the dates of whose birth and death are uncertain. He was author of two plays, "The Revenger's Tragedy" (1607), and "The Atheist's Tragedy" (1611); and of a poem entitled "The Transformed Metamorphosis" (1600).

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
