Is the small muscle which occupies the substance of the uvula. - Morgagni. The name is, however, inappropriate, as there are two distinct fasciculi, placed along-side each other, forming the Palato-staphylini, Staphylini or Epistaphylini muscles, Staphylini medii of Winslow.
